Music fans welcomed singer, songwriter and Grammy Award winner Tyla at the O. R Tambo International airport on Saturday. The Johannesburg born 23-year-old Tyla Laura Seethal touched down on home soil to celebrate her win with friends, family, and fans alike.

The Amapiano/Pop and R&B sensation and Grammy Award winner has been catapulted to international stardom after her 2023 multiplatinum single "Water" which made top ten charts in multiple countries, including the United States and United Kingdom.

The song entered the US Billboard Hot 100 in 55 years and went on to win the inaugural Best African Music Performance award during the 66th instalment of the Grammy Awards last month.

Meanwhile the SA sensational artist Tylahas been nominated at The Inaugural Cultural Creative Industry Awards under the People's Choice category as the Best Newcomer alongside Lebo Malope and Gatsheni.
