This is the second episode (Day 1 - Part II) of Varanasi Travel Series by Signupfortravel.com.

After visiting Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga in afternoon, we proceed to Manikarnika Ghat, which is located in close vicinity. It is also referred to as "Maha Shamshan" in Hindi or the great cremation place due to the nearly unbroken chain of funeral pyres.

In between, we made a stop at the Blue Lassi shop to check out their famous offering. Ordered for strawberry lassi but the experience was a bit underwhelming for the price charged.

All kinds of photography are prohibited at Manikarnika Ghat so please observe the rules.

There is a 'kund' (well) near the ghat which has a legend associated with it. In the afternoon heat we moved further north towards Scindhia Ghat and Ganga Mahal Ghat. The historic architecture of the place is unique and beautiful in its own way.

Thereafter, it was time to head to Dashashwamedh Ghat for the evening Ganga Aarti, the last event on our list for the day!

Please watch the complete video for experience and the details.
