The Oscar winner cleared the air about rumors that he and the singer sparked a romantic connection earlier this year, revealing on Howard Stern's SiriusXM show that the pair's connection is purely platonic. "No, Jewel and I are friends. We've never gone out ever," Kevin said. However, the "Horizon" star and director noted that he and the songstress do have a bond that he hopes they can preserve despite the speculation. "She's special, and I don't want, I don't want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that's what we have. She's special. I mean, she's beautiful enough to go out with."
