FAQs a Pirates Cast Member receives while standing at greeter.

Guest: Excuse me, do you work here?
Cast Member: No, I just wear an orange vest, frilly white shirt and striped socks and stand in front of the Pirates of the Caribbean every time I come to Disneyland.
Guest: Is this a ride or a show?
Cast Member: It is a ride.
Guest: What kind of a ride is it?
Cast Member: It's a boat ride. You sit in a boat and journey through the Caribbean and look at what a Pirate's life was like.
Guest: Do you get wet on this ride?
Cast Member: Well it is a water ride, and the sign behind me states "You may get wet." So yes there is a chance you will get wet.
Guest: Where is the handicap entrance?
Cast Member: Through the exit. Just head up this walkway, make a left at the bridge and the exit is next to the Pieces of Eight store. But the wait for the handicap entrance is about 30 minutes, if the member of your party using a wheelchair can walk I would recommend parking it and heading through the regular line. It's only about 15 minutes.
Guest: Why is the handicap line longer than the regular line?
Cast Member: The handicap line does not mean faster boarding; it is there for the convenience of those who need their wheelchair. Unfortunately we're not wheelchair accessible.
Guest: But why is the handicap line longer than the regular line?
Cast Member: It's not just guests in wheelchairs who can use our exit as an alternate entrance; guests with guest assistance cards can use them also. We only load the guests in the handicap line every ten boats. That is our policy.
Guest: I'm going to report you to the ADA!
Cast Member: I am pretty sure that Pirates of the Caribbean won't be shut down just because the handicap entrance was 15 minutes longer than the regular line. We have no control over how many people want to use our handicap line as long as they have a guest assistance card or a wheelchair.
Guest: How long did you say the regular line was?
Cast Member: 15 minutes
Guest: Where's the fast track?
Cast Member: Pirates of the Caribbean doesn't have FASTPASS®, we don't need one.
Guest: Is it really 15 minutes?
Cast Member: Yes.
Guest: This line looks longer than 15 minutes.
Cast Member: We dispatch 44 people about every 20 seconds; we're one of the most efficient rides in the park. This line moves very fast, that's why we do not offer FASTPASS® at this attraction.
Guest: If I come back later, will the handicap line be shorter?
Cast Member: I can not guarantee it, but there it is likely the line will be shorter while Fantasmic! is going on.
Guest: What time is that?
Cast Member: 9:00 and 10:15
Guest: But don't you guys close during Fantasmic!?
Cast Member: No, Fantasmic! does not affect the operation of our attraction.
Guest: Will it be hard to walk through this area when the show is going on?
Cast Member: It might be a little difficult depending on how crowded it gets. There is a possibility you will have to take the long way around to get to our exit. It is important that you follow the directions of our Fantasmic! guest control cast members, their instructions are for your safety.
Guest: I hate this place! You guys don't know what you are doing; I am never coming back here!
Cast Member: I hope you have a magical day too, sir.
