Playability was determined by how much patience I was able to retain while capturing these historical artifacts. It's important to consider are how well the games interfaces in a contemporary setting. The more tools you need to make the experience timeworthy, such as save states and fast-forwarding, the less playable it is. That and controls, and to certain extent sound and graphics, with deal breakers like indistinguishable objects and agonizing loops.
