Nearly two dozen of around 200 ballistic missiles fired by Iran at Israel on October 1 managed to break through air defences, The Washington Post reported. Many of the missiles that breached the Israeli air defences reportedly hit or landed near at least three military and intelligence sites. The Post said it verified videos that showed 20 missiles striking the Nevatim air base and three striking the Tel Nof base in Israel. The WaPo report analysed Planet Labs satellite imagery that showed what appears to be at least one destroyed building at Nevatim. Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces “conducted strikes on 15 Houthi targets” in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen on October 4.
