This Slideshow video is a dedication demonstration of Nodachi Jigen-ryu held at Shiratori Shrine in Ebino City, Miyazaki Prefecture on September 22, 2024.

On this day, the demonstration was held amid heavy rainfall caused by a low pressure system.
However, as the heavy rain washed away all distracting thoughts, We were able to offer the results of our daily training with a clear mind.

Nodachi Jigen-ryu is a school of swordsmanship that was born in the Satsuma domain during the Edo period, and Nodachi Jigen-ryu Hyōhokai is one of the Satsuma swordsmanship groups called Nodachi Jigen-ryu.

The Satsuma domain ruled Kagoshima prefecture in Japan during the Edo period. Ebino City was once a territory of the Satsuma domain, and the culture of the Satsuma domain still remains.

Every year on September, we hold a dedication demonstration of Nodachi Jigen-ryu at Shiratori Shrine's Autumn Festival.
