Ahmed Bawany Academy was established in 1962. It was established bye west Pakistan industrialist Mr. Yahiya Bawani. It was the beginning of an English-Medium school and organizations to gain a reputation. After independence in 1972 it was converted into Bangla-Medium. The organization opened branches in the college for girls in 1985.
