This video features multiple commuter/passenger train service, most of which being Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor, and Altamont Commuter Express!
Videos were taken over multiple days, including the big morning and evening rush hour commuter service between San Jose and Fremont!
Both new and old variants of both railroads are present!
Amtrak’s classic F59PHI’s, as well as their newer SC44 Charger type locomotives.
Altamont Commuter Express also uses newer SC44 Chargers, but continues to use their classic F40 type locomotives, which were featured on trains 5 & 7 in the morning, as well as trains 8 & 10 in the evening.
A small chase of Amtrak Coast Starlight 11 is also included. The chase only features two clips, one at Alviso, and one at the CP. Logan, which still is protected by historic Southern Pacific Searchlight signals, including a Signal Bridge! While at CP. Logan, the quarry’s switcher begins its operations, using what looks to be an SW1 type locomotive.
