Hiroaki Kitano, Executive Deputy President and CTO of Sony Group Corporation is joined by Nature Editor-in-Chief Magdalena Skipper to discuss why diverse representation is essential for achieving technological breakthroughs that will shape the future of our society.

Sony and Nature have partnered to launch the “Sony Women in Technology Award with Nature” which will honor three outstanding early to mid-career women researchers driving positive change in any domain of technology with a prize of $250,000 USD each.

In this video, Dr. Kitano and Dr. Skipper discuss the significant contributions of women researchers in technology, and how they envision this award will support the next generation of women working across science, engineering, and mathematics.
