This time, working with just a few spare parts and hand tools, I created a passive/active bass guitar. The body is a two-layer design: African mahogany for a rich foundation, regular mahogany for added warmth, and a sleek walnut stripe elegantly separating the two.

The idea for this project sparked from watching some incredible bassists. Guys like Errol "Flabba" Holt, Aston "Family Man" Barrett, Gerald Casale from Devo, and even the headless bass legend, Mr. Steinberger, really inspired me to build my own. Their music has always been a huge motivator for me.

Here are the features:
Double Trouble Volume Controls: Basically, there's one knob for each pickup, bridge, and neck, so you can fine-tune the exact sound you want by blending them together.
Tone Control Knob: This lets you adjust the brightness of your sound, kind of like turning the treble up or down on a stereo.
Passive/Active Switch with Power On/Off: This cool switch gives you two different sound options. Passive mode is like the classic warm bass tone, while active mode provides a more crisp and defined sound. You can even turn it all on and off with the handy power toggle.
