Join us this week as we explore a slice of the Loire Valley, famous for its stunning châteaux and breathtaking landscapes. Of course, I couldn't resist a trip to a vide grenier, especially one that’s renowned as the biggest in France! Come along as we hunt for treasures in this beautiful region.
Our adventure takes us to the charming market village of Langeais, home to its very own spectacular château—definitely worth a Sunday visit. We also indulged in an unforgettable lunch at L'atelier Gourmand, where we savored the best galettes and crêpes we've ever had.
Next, we visited Château de L’Islette, a place with a tantalizing past where two famous sculptors once carried on a passionate love affair, leaving behind a collection of rather saucy letters now on display.
Finally, we couldn’t miss Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, where the north façade is a celebrated example of early French Renaissance architecture. The south façade, reflected in the tranquil waters, adds to the château’s enchanting atmosphere, creating a picture-perfect scene.
