This week I travel to a central Minnesota lake in search of pan fish. My plan is to stay overnight somewhere close to the lake, but plans change because of the weather.
When I arrive in the nearest town to the lake, I find both parking lots to Walmart and the truck stop full of snow. They were both being plowed out. This ruined my lotdocking plans for the night.
I decided to stay at the boat landing where I would be fishing the next morning. It was a really cold night, the temperature got down to -25. The following morning when I got on the lake it was -15. I was able to land a few small fish but nothing to bring home.
The ride home was eventful. I made it approximately one mile from the lake before my truck broke down. I had to contact a tow company in order to get the truck and camper home. The tow truck took a bit of time to reach my location, but I was able to stay warm and watch TV in the camper. I hope you enjoy traveling along with me on this little adventure. See ya down the road.
