The Western Ghats Mountains extend along the western edge of the taluk, separating Sakleshpur from Dakshina Kannada district.
This place is not much explored, But most of the Kannada movie shootings were taken here. Few movies like Gajakesari, Mungarumale and Maleyali Jotheyali etc.
