It’s not easy to pick an all-in-one groovebox from the huge array of options available on the market - so this video compares the EP-133 and SP-404 MkII - since they present different price points and different feature sets… I use a visual presentation of the Sony, pattern and sound data on each device since that has a large influence on the workflow of the two devices.

But … This video is intended to be more than a comparison of the Teenage Engineering K.O. II EP-133 and the Roland SP-404 MkII - it’s more of a starting point for comparing any two groovebox instruments using a visual infographic to describe how the content and song structure is presented in each device.

I go through a ton of feature differences without a detailed demo since so many other videos do a great job showing off the actual instruments themselves. I focus on the feature differences that mattered to me after using these devices extensively for my track-making workflow.
