Bange Blankeman (literally translated: Frightened White man) is a Flemish Protest song by Willem Vermandere. It was released in 1993.



It's a protest song against racism and xenophobia and talks about all the different cultures that are in Europe because of immigration
The title references to the fact that back in 1991 (and even to this day) a lot of Western-Europeans were scared of all the immigrants coming in.
Just like all of Willem's songs it is sung in West-Flemish (a dialect of Dutch spoken in the Belgian province of the same name).
