Follow along in this jewellery making video tutorial to find out how to make these fabulous Spiral Hoop Earrings. This is an intermediate tutorial and would help if you have knowledge of, or have tried, the Peyote Stitch beforehand. I would recommend for beginners to have a go at the Peyote stitch and to become accustomed with this bead weaving technique before giving these earrings a go. But the Peytwist stitch is becoming an increasingly popular way to make bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.

This tutorial goes through how to do Peyote with a Twist - Not Crochet, creating these beautiful cylinders of MIYUKI seed beads. Once you get the hang of it, it is a very therapeutic stitch to do.

I used the KO Nylon beading thread and Size 15/0 MIYUKI seed beads in two colours. But this pattern can be made up in a variety of colours to change the design. The size 15/0 seed beads can be quite fiddly to work with, so you might find it easier to practice with 8/0 seed beads first. Also, remember that you will need very fine needles to fit through the hole of the 15/0 seed beads, so we recommend using a Size 12 Beading Needle.
