For a manufacturer of Green Steel, TEICHMANN CRANES delivered a gantry crane with a lifting capacity of 20t and a span of 41m to Witten in Germany. The crane was produced sustainabally using refurbished components and steelwork and will replace an old crane at the production site in Witten. The new crane will be used for the transport of steel bars using a special gripping tong.
For a sustainable and energy-saving operation, the crane is equipped with regenerative converters that feed the crane's braking energy back into the network. This means that the braking energy is not released in the form of thermal energy and is not lost.
