It's been 3 months since the maiden National Savings Group Conference organized by CARE & Savings Group Implementers Platform (SGIP).

The conference was organized to facilitate discussions, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration on the pivotal role of savings groups in driving financial inclusion and economic development in Nigeria.

The overarching goal of the conference was to comprehensively review the current state of savings groups in Nigeria, identifying challenges and opportunities, and enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of savings groups.

The conference featured cross-cutting and dynamic savings group-related topics, plenary sessions with distinguished speakers, break-out sessions for in-depth discussions, exhibitions showcasing innovative products and services, and valuable networking, providing learning opportunities on the crucial role of savings groups to participants and the general public.
