Minnesota Voters Alliance v. Mansky

Political expression, like obscenity, is often in the eye of the beholder. When a law is too broad to be applied consistently, it is unjust. And this is nothing new.

Andy Cilek was blocked from voting at a Minnesota polling station for wearing a Don't Tread on Me Gadsen flag tee shirt. The reason? A vague Minnesota statute against "poliitical" apparel at polling stations.

Pacific Legal Foundation's David Breemer presented our case to the United States Supreme Court on February 28th, 2018. In June 2018, the Court ruled for our client.
