Sonoma County Wine Region
This region unlike Napa, its neighbor to the east, does not have an overarching AVA.  The landscape and climates are diverse across Sonoma County, allowing for a wide range of different styles and varieties of wine. There are 18 AVA’s in Sonoma County, ranging from the Alexander Valley where Cab is king to Carneros where the cool climate makes the area perfect for sparkling wines. While there is no way to cover the entire region in one episode, we will share with you some highlights of places to see, and wines to taste.
