Worth a visit? Abso-bloody-lutely! The Mad Max 2 Museum at Silverton in outback NSW may be a little out of the way, but every single Mad Max enthusiast needs to put this on their bucket-list. Adrian pulled up stumps in Bradford, UK, and moved to setup the museum in Silverton due to its proximity to the harsh outback where Mad Max 2 was filmed. He thinks the George Miller masterpiece is Australia's best film of all time - and who are we to argue. The museum Adrian and his wife have created is truly amazing, with every aspect of the film represented with memorabilia, set pieces and, of course, the cars themselves. All are V8 (except the Fairlane), and all run and are derivable. The original gyro copter is a standout, as are the V8 interceptors and other "lesser" cars such as the Fairlane, Charger, Landau and Valiant. Our thanks to Adrian for being such a great host and showing us around his absolutely amazing museum. Silverton too is well worth a visit, and I have added some images from the road trip from Broken Hill to the end of the video.
