After two years of restrictions, the Indonesian Student Organization in Australia (PPIA) of Victoria is reviving Temu Lawak, the annual musical theatre production, with this year’s musical, comedy drama ‘Mulang Ka Asal’.

‘Mulang Ka Asal’ tells the story of Astri, owner of a traditional salon in Indonesia. The story revolves around a long-term quest and that we should follow what our hearts desire. Immerse yourself in Astri’s journey in fulfilling her life purpose by returning to her roots in her hometown. However, the successful career and friendships she has built in the city over the years make her rethink her decision. Puzzled by this dilemma, Astri has to make the call of her life.
