SABHA SATURDAY 3- VIVADI VAIBHAVAM
Vivadi Ragas- Vivadi Raga is one that contains Vivadi Notes (Notes that produce a dissonant effect when played for a long time because the notes are so close to each other). These Vivadi Notes literally translate to "conflicting notes".
Guruji Shrinivas sir was very well known for his divine expositions of vivadi ragas.
Had this idea of doing a mini concert of all Vivadi ragas, 'Vivadi Vaibhavam'. I have presented 3 well known compositions.

2) Baagayanayya - Chandra Jyothi- Adi- Saint Thyagaraja starts at 13:05
3) Yedaiya Gathi- Chalanaata- Adi- Sri Koteeshwara Iyer starts at 23:19
4) Taniavartanam - starts at 37:19
Yedaiya Gathi is a special composition close to my heart. Many years ago I once requested Guruji to play this wonderful composition. He played it as his main piece for his performance at Tamil Isai Sangam.
Playing Vivadi ragas consecutively is challenging. Hope you like it. :)
