The town of Bergstein, and Hill 400, was a highly strategic position that provided the Reich with high ground for observation and artillery fire. This important place in the Hürtgen forest at the border of Germany had to be captured for Allied troops to proceed to move across the Rur River inland. This is the Ranger's epic assault, who'll lead the way, that became just another meat grinder.
