Just to start at the VERY simple beginning I created a pair of speakers by cutting 2 round holes in 2 flat square slabs I did this on purpose to leave lots of room for improvement. My intent is to determine lines of how far does it go, or how far can we take it . These experiments are designed to help us determine the value of whats being marketed to us by the mainstream audio industry. The question behind this experiment is how important is a loudspeakers cabinet ? The cabinet on many occasions is the most expensive part, and the subsequent question how hard adn or expensive is it to make a great sounding speaker , and of course how important is the individual driver in this equation ?
