In the spring of 1945 allied troops occupy the whole of westphalia within a few weeks. The advancing troops are accompanied by small camera teams, that record the occupation on camera. Spectacular pictures show victory and defeat, the end of the war and new beginnings. The "LWL-Medienzentrum für Westfalen" used the US-Americans' recordings to produce a documentary that shows the end of the war out of the American troops' perspective.
