This picture, filmed in 1960, shows various aspects of the city in its earlier days: the administrative reform for the town as it is conducted today, a hardboard factory in operation in Kozashi-machi, and a great vogue of that time, the folk craft red bull, akabeko.
You can also see how people used to remove snow. The picture captures well the daily life of the people in those days.
