A lot of people do not know how significantly the sound can be altered by switching to a suitable endpin. For general cello players, we believe the easiest and most economical way to improve the sound is by replacing the endpin.
Next, we will show you the effect of 4 different endpin’s on the same cello. The sequence and the shortcuts are listed below:
(1) Carbon: 00:23
(2) Mitsuke Triple Brillante: 01:04
(3) Berlin Sound Pin: 01:45
(4) WWT Cantabile: 02:26
As a friendly reminder, these recordings should only be used as a reference, given that they cannot show the full benefits of our endpins or stoppers. In order to recognize the subtle changes in sound and feeling, you must try it for yourself!
