Artist insights while painting intuitive watercolour backgrounds.

I share a little bit about my process and thoughts of the moment, while showing some works in progress and also painting new backgrounds. The focus of this video is watercolour, and I use lots of different brands including my faves; Art Nouveau Gansai tambi by Kuretake, the Stoneground Paint Co, theoceanpaper.com (bamboo palettes), Daniel Smith, and Mozart Komorebi. I mix and match my watercolours and paint intuitively, so I'm not the best for referencing colours. Please see below for more references.

I paint on several different watercolour papers including Strathmore cold press paper, Canson mixed media journal 9x12", 138lbs.

I paint a watercolour background in my handmade acordian journal.

I love Helen Wells Art, and she teaches a wonderful course on how to make your own journal. Check her out at www.helenwellsartist.com (look for "Concertina book class").

The pink watercolours I use are Opera pink by Daniel Smith, and Ultra Violet by the Stoneground Paint Co.
