Hollywood history is chock-full of iconic film families, but one of the most unique and relatable are also one of the most eccentric. In “Creepy, Kooky, Mysterious, Spooky: Bringing the Addams Family to Life,” we explore the various facets of the family members’ personalities and how they were captured, personified and accentuated by both Richard MacDonald and Ken Adam’s designs for the films. Their unique but similarly reverent approach to the source material and its perceived identity, as well as their own interpretations of Charles Addams’ seminal creation, formed an enduring and beloved family with a bond as etched in the gravestone as The Addams Family films.
