the timeless Fiat Ritmo, one of the most successful Italian cars of the 80s, the first to adopt the solution of the bumper integrated into the body.
At the end of the 70s / 80s, the bumpers of both Italian and international cars were still protective elements, but with the Fiat Ritmo everything changed, the bumper was integrated into the body, thus following a single form of design.


The Fiat Ritmo was a compact passenger car produced by Fiat from 1978 to 1988. It was designed to replace the Fiat 128, which had been a great commercial success.


The design of the Ritmo began in 1974, the aim was to create a modern and innovative car that would stand out from its competitors.


The Ritmo was presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1978. The design was characterized by fluid and aerodynamic lines, with a low front and a sloping rear. The interior was spacious and comfortable, with a wide range of options available.


The Ritmo was available with a range of petrol and diesel engines, from 1.1 to 2.0 litres. The traction was front and the gearbox was manual with 4 or 5 speeds.


The Ritmo was a commercial success, with over 2 million units sold worldwide. In Italy it was the best-selling car in 1979 and 1980.


In 1983 the Energy Saving version was launched, with a series of changes to improve efficiency.


In 1988 the Ritmo was replaced by the Fiat Tipo.
