This week the second chamber of parliament voted for abolishing the corrective consultative referendum. It was striking that D'66 voted against the referendum, whilst having fought for it for many years. The referendum supposedly leads to misunderstandings. They could of course have adapted the consultative referendum, but for Minister Ollongron one experiment - the Ukraine referendum - had been enough.
