This song was originally composed 18 years ago, in the fall of 2006. We recorded the draft on a home PC, using minimal equipment — just drum samples, my $60 guitar, and a violin recorded with the cheapest mic (or was it a pickup? I can't quite remember). Today, I’ve re-recorded almost everything except for the violin. The violin part, played by my friend Elena, was recorded back in 2006, and I’ve kept that original piece in "Flames." I’ve also included a video from one of our rehearsals, filmed in 2008, where we played this song together. All of these elements make "Flames" incredibly special to me, and I’m excited to finally share it with you.
