Columbus is a small, self-contained indie-film that I discovered through letterboxd back in january of 2020. Despite its slow-pacing and rather uneventful plot, it moved me in an indescribable way. You can regard this essay as my expression of love for this film or simply, as the title implies, a dissection of one striking element in Kogonada's piece.
