This video demonstrates the results of MA DMF's 2013 monitoring of the Mill River in Taunton, Massachusetts, following the 2012 removal of the Hopewell Mills Dam. Our results demonstrated that many species, most notably alewife and sea lamprey, benefited from the dam removal. MA DMF intends to continue monitoring the response of the fish community to full passage restoration in the Mill River, which is excepted to occur in late 2014.
