Captivating, thrilling and inspiring: great passionate performance with wonderful extrovert approach by the immensely gifted and charming young French-Georgian pianist. It immediately reminded me of my very first vinyl of this eternal masterpiece: Richter's & Wislocki's famous Warsaw rendition, back in 1959.
Miss Buniatishvili was in congenial manner accompanied by the fine musicians of "Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg" under the direction of Marcus Bosch. Recorded live 23/07/2017 at Europe's biggest Open Air with classical music, inmidst an audience of 75.000 partly cheerful, partly disorderly people in the green of Nuernberg's Luitpoldhain. Sound remastered.
