Diavolopera was formed back in 2009 in the city of Gdynia. Their music might be categorized as widely understood gothic rock with some electronic influences. In mid 2010 the group entered the studio for the first time and recorded a demo which included the following songs: Alone, Daddy and Princess. Their next release was a promotional material recorded in 2011. This time around Diavolopera decided to work with Mateusz Sieńko of Milczenie Owiec / The Silence of the Lambs who took over the duties of a producer.
Diavolopera's debut full-length saw the light of day in late 2012 and is called Preludium / Prelude. What the music is based upon are distinct keyboard parts, strong guitar sound as well as exceptional singing by Julia who's able to embrace both subtle and energetic parts...
Diavolopera might very well catch the attention of the followers of groups such as Lacuna Coil or Polish Moonlight.
