Margam Kali is an art form of the Christians and is believed to have evolved from Kalaripayattu. "Margam" means path or way or solution in Malayalam, but in the religious context, it is known as the path to attain salvation. Much of this folk art is woven around the mission of St. Thomas, the Apostle. Margam Kali is the most popular Christian art form in Kerala.
