I picked up this belt sander today because I needed something that was going to quickly remove more material than my cordless random orbital sander.

Specifically, I’m working on a jarrah end-grain chopping board and was having trouble getting some of the deeper machining scratches and burn marks out of it.

If you’re not familiar with it, jarrah (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucal...) is an Australian hardwood that’s known to test every woodworkers patience when it come to sanding.

I’m really happy with how the sander is performing so far.
