Ingredients:

250g white cornmeal
1 liter water
1 tsp salt
2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and quartered

Topping:

200g brined cheese
1 tbsp clarified butter
1 tbsp butter
3 cloves of garlic, pressed
1 tbsp paprika powder

Instructions:

Peel and quarter the potatoes, place them in a pot with water and 1 tsp salt. Bring to a boil.

Reduce the temperature and gradually add the cornmeal. Stir until a smooth mixture forms, floating evenly on the surface.

Use the handle of a wooden spoon to create a hole in the center and let it simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.

Stir everything well and let the corn porridge rest for 10 minutes with the lid closed.

Meanwhile, prepare the topping: Heat clarified butter and butter in a pan. Add brined cheese and sauté until it softens.

Add garlic and paprika powder, briefly sauté, and evenly spread the topping on the corn porridge.

Enjoy this delicious Kačamak dish that perfectly combines the flavors of the Balkans!
