When visiting Osaka you should not miss out on the Retro Entertainment District Shinsekai. With the iconic Tsutenkaku Tower towering above all the bright neon advertisement, it's sure a gem in the city. While Osaka breathes 80's and 90's aesthetics, you can go even further in the past in Shinsekai. While the district itself is not big there is much offered and to see at this amazing spot in Japan.

If jumping back in time to the 80's in the retro arcades, you can have your hands on a retro game station playing one of the most iconic retro games like, Pacman, Tetris, Space Invaders, Street Fighter, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Mortal Kombat, Tempest, Donkey Kong and many of the other amazing and quirky Japanese Games ever made. There is more entertainment to be found like Gachapons Stores, the little Capsule Toys, Claw Machines, UFO Catchers and many Gambling Machines such as Pachinko and Slot Machines and Shooting Galleries.

Shinsekai is extremely famous for having many restaurants, cafes and izakaya, where you can eat away on all the Japanese cuisine you can imagine, Kushiage and Kushikatsu Fried Skewers are very popular in the area and a must try along with the soul food of Osaka Takoyakai Octopus Balls, we will also try out Street Food like Icecream and Baby Castella. You can also try out Charcoal Grill, Sushi, Ramen, and much more.

Unique stores can also be found here such as the popular Japanese snack Umaibo, Puffed Corn Sticks in the many flavours, Japanese Dagashi which is the 1 Penny Candy from the past are still being produced and sold here and a Pringles Store which has a lot of limited Edition Flavours in Japan.

Lastly breathe in the spectacular view of Shinsekai at Night with the colored advertisement and signs. It's truly an unique sight that can only be found in this amazing city in Japan, Osaka. In this walking tour you'll see everything there is to see in Shinsekai.
