👋 After owning the 2024 Audi RS3 for several months now, I get so many comments to compare it to the newest G87 BMW M2! Finally we are here checking out the 2024 BMW M2 alongside the 8Y Audi RS3! Crazy enough the MSRP on this M2 is $65,000, which is the same MSRP our Audi RS3 had! These cars feel like they are the same class of car and same build quality level. Performance is also very comparable. The RS3 utilized a very unique 2.5L Inline 5 cylinder turbo engine, while the M2 has the S58 twin turbo 3.0L inline 6 cylinder engine. While the M2 makes 453 horsepower and the RS3 has 401 horsepower. The AWD and DCT in the RS3 rocket it to 60 under 3.5 seconds. Also the RS3 weighs about 3,600 pounds vs the 3,800 pounds in the M2. RS3 is very quick feeling and is so responsive. M2 has ore top end and I prefer it's steering feel. It's a bit more weighted and direct. RS3 has more useable back seats that adults can fit in, but the M2 is decent for being a coupe. Both cars are a blast to drive and I think the RS3 does get a bit more on edge when in the highest drive mode. The M2 doesn't quite get that raw. However the M2 has the manual transmission option which really ads a connected driving feel. Personally these cars feels like 100% direct competitors in every way you look at it. I think it comes down to if you want RWD or AWD. 4 doors or 2 doors. And the manual transmission option. I like the M2 better since I like the feel of sitting in a coupe, I like the manual, and the steering is more direct. But I like how raw the RS3 gets, and it's extra capabilities in grip from the AWD makes it feel faster. So it's a toss up! My wife loves her RS3 and I plan to sell my manual Supra for a manual M2 when I need more practically for my daily.
