Today we revisit a client from 7 years ago to build them a small backyard patio using open graded aggregates as our base. We immediately got in some trouble with our excavation as the ground was very saturated so we amended it with some Portland cement and continued with our excavation. We then installed our non-woven geotextile and some geogrid to stabilize the base material and continued with our 3/4" clean stone as our open graded base. We then screeded HPB as our bedding layer and began laying our pavers. Finally, the cuts were completed, edge restraint installed, and polymeric sand to finalize this small patio for our client.
