Cupcake and I had an amazing adventure at Vedauwoo Recreation Area in Buford, Wyoming! Close to Cheyenne and Laramie, this spot provided free dispersed camping and ample hiking opportunities in an amazingly beautiful place!

Native Americans called this place "Vedauwoo", which translates to "place of the earthborn spirits". It is also a very popular place for rock climbing and considered to be the best spot for it in southern Wyoming. We camped for several days in the free dispersed camping area (we use Campendium to find our free campsites) and it is one of our favorite places to camp in all of the western US! The beauty of this place is staggering!
