Educational Seminar on Anaemia Free India (एनीमिया मुक्त भारत)

The Bareilly Obstetric and Gynaecological Society organized an educational program on Anaemia, Menstrual Health, and Hygiene as part of the National Programme ' एनीमिया मुक्त भारत’ ‘Anaemia Free India' at Bishop Conrad Sr Sec School (Senior Wing). This program was specifically designed for adolescent girls and included presentations, informative talks, and open discussions led by society members.

The Society has launched an awareness drive targeting adolescent girls to educate them about anaemia, menstrual hygiene, and to dispel related stigma. The session also briefly covered cervical cancer and the importance of vaccination for girls aged 12 to 26. Cervical cancer is the only cancer that is preventable, highlighting the need for increased awareness.

The esteemed doctors leading the session were:

Dr. Darakhshan Abbas, an OB-GYN gold medalist with 20 years of experience as a medical director and consultant at Fatima Hospital, Bareilly. She has a special interest in Adolescent Health and Education.
Dr. Sandhya Gangwar, MBBS, DGO, who has been practicing at Apex and S R Critical Care Hospital for 17 years.
