Vlog-43 Atmalingeshwar Mahadev temple Shivansai || Ishwarpuri || आत्मलिंगेश्वर महादेव मंदिर

This is Atmalingeshwar Mahadev temple situated in Chandip village in Vasai Virar taluka of Maharashtra. The place is called Shivan Sai.
This temple of Lord Shiva is believed to be filled with high positive energy and devotees here believe one can feel the aura of Mahadev himself.

In Vasai East, there is a hill named Tungareshwar Hills. Just below the hill, one Ashram and an old temple known as “Ishwarpuri” is located. It is said that this Ashram is resting place of Rishi Sandipani. He is also said to have taken a Samadhi here. Rishi Sandipani ji was guru of Lord Krishna Bhagwan, his brother Balram and his friend Sudama. It is believed that Lord Krishna and Balram used to come in this Tungareshwar forest to collect woods and therefore this place is considered to be Holy.

How to reach this Ashram?

Ishwarpuri is a small village located at approximately one km from the village of Chandip on Shirshad – Vajreshwari road. In the right hand side a big entrance with white pillars and it is written “Gram Panchayat Shivan Sai welcomes you Iswhwarpuri Mandir”. From the main road, the Ashram and Atmalingeshwar Mahadev Temple is located 2 kms inside, in the forest of Tungereshwar.

Once you enter into the Ashram and Temple, you will find peace as this is located in a very serene and peaceful environment. At the very entrance, one can find a Hanuman shrine as well as a Samadhi temple. The main temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Behind the main mandir, there are another dedicated to Saibaba and yet another temple of Shiva temple. In the backside there is a huge rock and there lies on old temple which is said to be Samadhi temple dedicated to Guru Sandipani. Out side the Samadhi temple, there lies a natural spring with continuously flowing water.

A long back, Swami Nithyananda Maharaj used to stay here whose Samadhi is at Ganeshpuri, a few kms away from this ashram. He then moved to Geneshpuri while his disciple lady fondly known as “Maa” or “Amma” from South of India, continued to stay at this ashram. This place is frequently visited by the locals and outsiders on Monday and Thursday. Bhandaras are organized here by the devotees in this ashram.
People can come and pray to God and do Rudrabhishek and offer there prayers over here and can enjoy the peace and beauty of this place.
