Sentinel Pass in Banff is quite possibly the best hike in Banff National Park. Sentinel Pass is a moderately difficult hike that's only about 7 miles round trip. With such stunning beauty all around, you won't even realize you've climbed over 2,400 ft. Sentinel Pass lies at 8,566 ft and offers breathtaking views of Banff National Park. And oh yeah, don't forget Larch Valley on the way up! The hike to Larch Valley alone is worth the trip. We can only imagine how stunning the sight is in autumn!
Sentinel Pass is a must hike when visiting the Moraine Lake area. If there's only one hike you do while visiting, make it this hike--you won't be disappointed.
