Dead straight in on the 11 ball with no way to get over for a decent shot on the 8. No problem. Elevate your cue about 20 degrees and jump the cue ball about 3" in the air. With a bit of luck,(and skill) the cue ball will catch the edge of the cushion on the way back down which will propel it across the table.
