Katia and Maurice Krafft were husband and wife volcanologists who died in an eruption in 1991. They left behind hundreds of hours of the best volcano footage ever captured on film. Two documentaries came out last year that use their footage - The Fire Within by Werner Herzog and Fire of Love by Sara Dosa. One is great and one is terrible.
